Long haul driving is a great option for those who enjoy being behind the wheel, and are looking to set their own schedule. Making money as a long haul driver is even easier with multi-haul driving contracts. The flexibility in scheduling allows drivers to determine when to work and how much they can earn. Below, we look into the various benefits of multi-haul driving and how this career option offers freedom, flexibility, and financial gain for drivers.
What is Multi-Haul Driving?
Multi-haul driving is an effective way to transport multiple RVs to a single destination at the same time. This process involves using a trailer to haul two or more RVs to the final destination. Multi-haul contracts also offer opportunities for reloads on the return journey, which removes the potential for wasted miles and dead loads.
Financial Benefits of Multi-Haul Driving
As a driver, moving multiple units at once allows you to earn a higher compensation amount, than a standard long-haul trip. The compensation offered through Classic Transport is competitive and calculated using the distance between the origin and destination. 50% of the compensation is always paid up front as drivers must cover gas, food, and accommodation costs during the trip. The final 50% of the compensation is paid upon delivery of the units. Reload compensation follows the same rules, with 50% compensation paid when the units are picked up.
Flexibility in Scheduling
As a long-haul driver, you work as a contractor. This allows you to select which routes you wish to work, which allows you to select where you want to go, and what loads to take. As a driver, you also get to determine the number of contracts you accept each month. This allows you to have complete control over your schedule, offering the ultimate work-life balance.
Freedom to Explore
As a long-haul driver, you will get the chance to see parts of the US and Canada you haven’t been to before. Each contract you accept has a deadline, which allows you to plan your trip to explore along the way if you wish to. Furthermore, drivers for Classic Transport get discounts at various hotels across the US, making traveling over several days even easier. Many drivers take advantage of multi-state trips to visit memorable tourist attractions and explore new areas during their downtime. Multi-haul contracts with reload opportunities also offer even more chances to travel, as drivers can take a different route back while being paid.
