At Classic Transport, high standards and exceptional customer service have been the heart of the business since it was founded by Bill Garvey in 1993. Bill built the company on a strong foundation of integrity, surrounding himself with capable, trustworthy professionals who share his vision and dedication.
What started with a small, skilled team quickly grew to more than 30 employees and over 600 owner/operators. From day one, Classic Transport has embraced a “can-do” attitude, welcoming challenges and taking smart risks – all while staying laser-focused on delivering outstanding service.
In recognition of his innovative and people-center approach, Bill Garvey was honored with the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year award in 2002. His leadership style, built on teamwork and individual empowerment, continues to shape the company’s culture today.
In January 2016, longtime business partners Dan Groulx and Duane Schlabach purchased Classic Transport, with Dan stepping in as the CEO and Duane as President. Looking toward the future, they welcomed seasoned managers Jodi Schieber, Dennis Pontius, and Adam Warner into the ownership group in January 2017 – further strengthening the leadership team and ensuring Classic Transport’s continued growth and success.
